undersea attraction

i'm in a band that only plays in underwater volcanoes.
i'm in a van that only drives at night with all the windows rolled down.

children's hour

scenes from the "children's art room" of a midwestern contemporary art mueum:

yes! it IS me!

dude, is this really appropriate? drawn by a brooding teen or a misguided parent? somehow this seems like a heavy metal version of an old chris johanson painting in the best possible sense.

nice one

this dude needs to start a blog.

on another note, this room was by far the best part of the museum. what i saw that day on the other floors made me sad about art and the art world machine. what a bummer. i need a human touch, man!

poached

i stole this off of the internet as proof of continued international domination in the realm of t-shirts with smoothed-out cat-people on them. it looks like the inaugural windsurf tour of japan was a success!

everything old is new again

old flyers for my old band that lives. i am feeling sentimental.

coconut is my favorite san francisco band and one time they played with us at the stork club in oakland and spun cymbals on the ground. i think i was wearing a headband.

ian said we were a "drug band" after this show, which was way better than that time someone told us we sounded like bright eyes.

r.i.p. ivy room

the best show we ever played and it was big sur and we played the nude beach song. long live birds.

space station

the daily practice of doing a drawing while drinking coffee before checking emails or dealing with the day is saving my soul.

pebbles from heaven

this is a drawing that will be in a show in july. a poem about touching your face.

also it hailed here yesterday

i guess this is what the end of the world will look like. about a half hour before it was 85 degrees and sunny.
